Duane’s day off is Friday. So, this past Friday, I enthusiastically suggested breakfast out + a photography tour of downtown Raleigh.  (It should be noted here that he also agreed to this idea enthusiastically.)

Our first stop: Cafe Lucarne in City Market, a pretty minimalist place with minimalist food, yet BIG on flavor. A  friend of mine raved about the avocado toast there, but my sweet tooth needed something that wasn’t green, so I had the ricotta toast with roasted apples + honey. It was delicious.  Duane had a chicken sandwich with house-made honey bbq sauce that was also REALLY good. The staff was really pleasant, too. You should go.

How much is that doggie in the window?

Then, there were the camellias. It’s Friday, I’m in love.
